AFS3-standardization -- Standardizing the AFS 3 Protocol

This list is for discussions related to specification and standardization of version 3 of the AFS distributed filesystem protocol. This is not the place to ask questions about compiling or using OpenAFS or Arla. This is an open list -- anyone can subscribe, and any subscriber can post. To limit spam, only current subscribers can post without moderator approval. If you are subscribed using a different address than the one that normally appears on your outgoing mail, or if you read this list via a shared subscription, you will need to enable posting for the address that appears on your outgoing mail. To do this, subscribe the outgoing address to the list, and then set the 'nomail' flag. You will now be able to post from that address, but it will not receive a copy of the mail. Using AFS3-standardization
To post a message to all the list members, send email to afs3-standardization@openafs.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to AFS3-standardization
Subscribe to AFS3-standardization by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
